March General Meeting: Welcome Warehouse

Our next General Meeting is a hands-on volunteer event! Please join us on March 23, 9:30 am at the Indian Run United Methodist Church (6305 Brand Road, Dublin, OH). Jean Griffith, Executive Director of the Welcome Warehouse, will share information about this wonderful organization and will give us a tour of the facility.

They have asked us to help assemble packages of socks & underwear during our visit. These items will be distributed through the Welcome Warehouse’s Free Store. If you are able, please bring NEW (unopened) socks & underwear for men, women, and children. They need all sizes, but often run low on sizes for older children (ages 10-12).

This is a great way for the women of the DWC to get involved and help others in our community.

Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP at evite.

Snowflake Gala Recap!

We held our 1st Snowflake Gala (formerly The Emerald Celebration) on February 26 at the Country Club at Muirfield Village and are thrilled to announce it was a HUGE success. Our guests had a fabulous time, the food was outstanding, and the Country Club looked gorgeous. We watched an amazing comedy magic show by David Williamson, sampled confections generously donated by Mama Knows Best, and danced the night away with DJ Ant. AND – in the process of all that FUN, we raised well over $5000 for our PHILANTHROPY fund. Check out our Facebook photo album to see pictures from this awesome event!

ABOUT US

The Dublin Women’s Philanthropic Club (DWC) is a nonprofit organization made up of around 100 enthusiastic and dedicated women.  Founded in 1978, DWC is focused on fulfilling the needs of women, children, and families.  We have a long history of service in the Columbus region, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare. DWC was proud to be named a finalist in the 1999 Columbus Dispatch Community Service Awards.

EVENTS

Informative and entertaining programs are presented at monthly general meetings. A variety of Interest groups also meet allowing members to develop friendships with others in small group settings. Membership in the DWC is a very rewarding experience, and anyone who wishes to join is welcome. There are no geographic requirements, however the focus of the club’s activities is primarily in the Dublin area.

PHILANTHROPY

Each year the Dublin Women’s Club reaches out to many in need. Throughout our club’s history, we have given over $300,000 in charitable contributions. Those include helping to pay rent, utility bills, or medical and dental expenses for those in need, as well as Holiday meals and gifts. The stories of the individuals we have helped along the way continue to touch our hearts and renew our commitment to serve.

The Dublin Women’s Philanthropic Club is proud to celebrate over 35 years of serving our community!
